![]() The Harbor freight can be, but you may have to buy 10 to find that one good one. IR, CP, and better seem to be good, consistent quality guns. Some may get lucky buying used, but it is too risky with a zip gun. Posted 07:44 (#4987462 - in reply to #4987403) Subject: RE: Good air chiselÄo not buy used. It does get a little wild cutting tin and someday I will have a short barreled chisel for that job. It will move bearings I can't move with a big hammer. The one I have is a CP and is 9" long overall length without the bit. The short barrel air chisel is good if not better at cutting light tin but it doesn't do much when it comes to knocking out tough bearing races. Get the one with the longer barrel if you really want to get something done. ![]() Posted 07:44 (#4987460 - in reply to #4987403) Subject: RE: Good air chiselĪny major brand like Snapon, Mack, IR, CP is good. Going to give them a call Monday and see who the local dealer is and go to them. If its a GP on it it will most likly be Grey Pneumatic, all their chisel stuff starts with CH. There's a CP or GP on it but it's not Chicago. I have no idea what brand the coupler is. Any ideas where to find that? Local parts store couldn't find anything and I took it off and started using the screw on spring again and I sure miss the quick coupler. I've got a CP with the quick coupler and I'm needing the threaded plastic "adapter" for the quick coupler. ![]() I bought an Ingersoll rand that was recommended on agtalk.about 4 months ago. I have learned to only buy Snap on bits for it as the mortality rate is high on bits and snap on guarantees them forever. I agree that the snap on is the best I have had but it's also the most expensive too. I have that one and a 3050a, love them both, I work with a lot of feet equip, best tool I've for some of those jobs At one time there were 60 rows of JD single disk fertilizer openers in our neighborhood and the 3050 would drive the center shaft out of them when nothing else would. I have a 3050 too, used to have a cheap air hammer and there is no comparison between a good one and a cheap one. (image.jpeg) Attachments - image.jpeg (56KB - 164 downloads) ![]()
